for teaching! Resources that cause students to develop relational understanding are preferred over resources that account for further instrumental understanding( Relational vs. Instrumental Understanding). Relational resources connect mathematics to real world contexts and allow students to see when they would use math in their lifetime or when someone else could use mathematics.
Other topics: if there is a high school math topic you would like that is not listed, feel free to solicit it. The high school section of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are the best resource for finding another topic.

New resources and real contexts nice work! Future directions
I really enjoyed your resources and the clear, thorough explanations for them that you provided! The relational understanding that these activities could provide students seems excellent. They definitely tie right into the real world with problems that seem to have value to students.
For future edits: Continue to add Modeling resources to separate pages on other major topics like algebra and statistics.

    Overall great work! Awesome resources!

    Feedback from Quad. Function group
Trevor and Will, you certainly did add some neat resources to this page to aid teachers! but you did not explain why they are useful or what you enjoy about the resources. I liked most of the links, and thought you picked a mix of resources that developed operational and relational understanding. They also cause students to think about definitions, the abstract concepts behind trigonometry, and you provided resources from a variety of blogs. Well done overall! For the future edits: Focus on explaining some of the resources provided and continue finding more well explained resources on trigonometry that challenge students to think deeply about the real world and persevere in problem solving.

This lesson could also be used as an assessment. It has students use mirrors to measure the heights of large objects using the mirrors to form similar triangles. Throughout the activity students get to explore while practicing their newly learned tool of using similar triangles to find the shadow and height of objects. Students get to test their relational understanding of similar triangles as they use their mathematical skills outside in the real world.

    F11 Comments
I really enjoyed the resources you found! In the future they could have been linked more clearly onto the page rather than just with find teaching resources "here", but the "buying out of detention" activity seems like a really rich one for having students verbally describe which linear equation has the greatest rate of change, y-intercept, and helping students realize the relationships between various linear equations. The activity where students watch a video and draw a graph to model what they see is an excellent modeling idea. The video scenarios on the site seem very engaging for students and give students the opportunity to describe their work thoroughly. Also students are working in real world contexts on these problems.
For the future: students may condense this page and create links to most of the operational material. A brief description of the vocabulary and a detailed highlight of the resources linked for building relational understanding. Also, adding why you enjoy the resources and think they would develop student understanding on the main page would be excellent!

Great work on the site! Future edits focus on real world contexts for lesson rather than pseudocontexts
Great work adding some fun resources! In the future, we want to focus more on having real world problems so students can develop relational understanding of graphic inequalities, but I really like the games you posted for operational understanding and they certainly do align to the common core standards. Maybe adding more activities or lessons where students explain their thinking rather than just playing a game would be great too. Genius boxing was a fun way to develop number sense as well as your other games! In the future there is also no need to explain that we are trying to create resources that are more than just learning basic operations as that goal is stated through the title of the site. Overall great effort improving things! The site looks organized.
